Week-01 (08/23/2020) – Circular

We hope this email finds you and your family healthy and safe. Please read this email in its entirety since it contains lots of important information.

Please be advised that Sacramento Tamil Academy (STA) Folsom, CTA/ITA affiliated Tamil School starts tomorrow, August 23rd, 2020 at 9:45 am for the academic year 2020 – 2021. Full calendar is available on the school information page.

Classes will be conducted through Google classroom & meet.

Assembly:

School will start with a virtual assembly at 9:45 AM. All students, parents, & teachers are required to join using the following information. After assembly, students are required to join their individual classroom sessions conducted by their respective teachers.

Grade, class room assignment:

Student’s grade, section, and class room assignments have been updated. All students should have received a Google classroom invite from their respective teachers already. If you have not, please contact your teachers and/or principal(s). All students must join or access the content and meeting through the authorized sactamilacademy.org Google account ONLY. If you have difficulty to login, please reach out to the Principal(s) and/or your teachers.

Since this facility allows each student to have a full google account, Parents are responsible to monitor their child’s activities, progress, & assignments.

Books for current year:

Grades Preschool 1 to Grade IV: Books are available online. We highly request Parents to help their kids access the online books through parent login.

To access the books, login to your ITA/CTA account, select Parent Access, Child Resources Info and click on the book icon below the ITA textbook header. This should give the list of books for your child. Click on the book from the list and make sure pop-ups are not blocked. This should open up the book. Screen shots are included in the attachment to this email for reference. Physical textbooks are expected to be distributed by early September. Expect further communication in that regard.

Grades V – VIII: Books were distributed on Aug 16th and Aug 21st. Students who have not received their textbooks are requested to contact our book officer, Pradeeban at t_pradeeb@yahoo.com.

Attendance: Attendance will be noted by the teachers during the live classroom session (weekly Sunday 10-11:30 AM).
