Hope you all had a wonderful holiday break and are doing well and safe. We wish you and your loved ones a happy & prosperous new year, 2023! Thank you all for your wonderful support and we look forward to a strong finish to the 2nd half of the academic year in 2023! Please read this email in its entirety since it contains lots of important information.

TVA (Tamil Virtual Academy): Last date to apply for the 2023 examination is Jan 8th, 2023. Mr. Chakara will be available at the school tomorrow starting 11 am to collect the registration form & fees. Application form with instructions can be downloaded here.

State seal of biliteracy exam coaching: To assist high school senior students get the biliteracy seal in Tamil language, our school volunteers will be conducting coaching and refresher classes starting this Sunday, Jan 8th. See details in the presentation posted here. Interested and eligible students should reach out to the school principal/vice-principal to sign up.

Health Check: COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses have been on the rise. As we are returning back from the winter break and holiday celebrations, few friendly reminders:

Consider masking up in indoor public places
Cover coughs and sneezes and wash hands frequently
Stay home when sick, whether it’s COVID-19 or something else that can get others sick

Assembly: The school will start with an assembly session at 9:45 AM behind the building if weather permits or else it may be postponed to another week.

Upcoming important dates/events:

January 8, 2023: Last day to register for TVA exams.

January 29, 2023: Test-5 (Adv KG, Grades 2-8)

Attendance: Attendance is a critical component of our grading system as you all should know. The attendance officer will mark attendance during the live classroom session. Arriving after the assembly or leaving before 11.15 am will be marked as tardy. Don’t forget that 100% attendance for the academic year is recognized at the year’s end.
