We are at the halfway point [16th week] of the 2022-23 academic year. It has been an exciting first half of the school year especially after we returned to the in-person curriculum. We wish you and your loved ones a joyful winter break and a prosperous new year, 2023! Thank you all for your wonderful support and we look forward to a strong finish to the 2nd half of 2023!

COVID-19 case rates have been on the rise. Winter break and holiday celebrations mean gathering with friends and family, sharing air, and exchanging germs. As we all prepare for the break, now is a great time to take steps to stay healthy and safe:

Consider masking up in indoor public places
Cover coughs and sneezes and wash hands frequently
Stay home when sick, whether it’s COVID-19 or something else that can get others sick

TVA (Tamil Virtual Academy): 2023 examination application window is open now. Application along with instructions can be found in the form in the link here. The last day to apply is Jan 08th, 2023.

Assembly: The school will start with an assembly session at 9:45 AM behind the building if weather permits or else it may be postponed to another week.

Attendance: Attendance is a critical component of our grading system as you all should know. The attendance officer will mark attendance during the live classroom session. Arriving after the assembly or leaving before 11.15 am will be marked as tardy. Don’t forget that 100% attendance for the academic year is recognized at the year’s end.

Health Check: We’d like to remind you to perform a daily symptom check on your child before sending them to school and keep them at home if they feel ill for any reason. With your support, we can reduce exposure to COVID-19 and other illnesses to protect our school community. Face coverings are suggested for students & individuals on the school campus.

At-home COVID-19 tests: All should have received a free at-home CoVID-19 test kit. We still have a few left and if anyone wants them, feel free to stop by our front office. FDA has extended the expiration dates for these COVID-19 test kits. See here: iHealth COVID-19 Antigen Rapid Test (9-to-12-month extension). The lot code we supplied, 221CO20214, is valid till Feb 13, 2023.
